Who We Are
Gulf Coast Big Brothers and Sisters has been mentoring the youth of Galveston County since 1976. Big Brothers and Big Sisters is the oldest and largest one-to-one mentoring organization in the country. The organization celebrated 100 years nationally in 2004. Although we are a member agency of Gulf Coast Big Brothers of America, we are operated, governed and sustained locally.
The mission of Gulf Coast Big Brothers and Big Sisters is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one relationships with measurable impact.
The vision of Gulf Coast Big Brothers and Big Sisters is to support and provide access to successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to better schools, brighter futures and stronger communities for all.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: PLEASE SHARE ON YOUR WALL!! Jack in the Box® restaurants today launched a holiday fundraiser benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters. For just $1, plus tax, guests may purchase a limited-edition Nutcracker Jack ornament with net proceeds benefiting the youth-mentoring organization.
The majority of funds raised from this year’s fundraiser will help provide mentors and ongoing mentoring support to children in our community with support from Jack in the Box. This year, 100% of net proceeds will be awarded to BBBSA to distribute to local BBBS agencies!
Big Brothers Big Sisters has been the primary charitable partner of Jack in the Box since 1998. For more information, visit www.jackinthebox.com
