Jack in the Box® restaurants has launched a holiday fundraiser benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters. For just $1, plus tax, guests may purchase a limited-edition Nutcracker Jack ornament with net proceeds benefiting the youth-mentoring organization. The majority of funds raised from this year’s fundraiser will help provide mentors and ongoing mentoring support to children in our community with support from Jack in the Box. This year, 100% of net proceeds  from the Nutcracker Ornament will be awarded to BBBSA to distribute to local BBBS agencies! Throughout the year you can still help with 75% of net proceeds being donated to BBBS!

The tragic facts:

Encouraging teens to develop the right attitudes today can lead to a lifetime of safety for all American families. Allstate Partners with Big Brothers Big Sisters in an effort to help parents talk to their teens about safe driving.

Mentors visit their “Little” once a week at school for about an hour, have lunch and play games together.

Kiwanis of Galveston joins BBBS for the BUG program…”Bring Up Grades“, a tutoring focused program at Parker Elementary School. Teachers refer students based on academic needs. Children are matched to volunteers with strengths in the child’s area of need. The match works on instruction based materials provided by the teacher or on homework or classwork as needed.
